Objectives

The course focuses on basic ergonomic concepts and elements within interactive programs as well as measures to support understanding and efficient usability.

Topics

The individual topics start with background and derive rules and checklist items for various aspects of user interfaces.
The ultimate goal is to provide students with a compact set of design rules that they can use in the development of user interfaces.
An important sub-goal is to present not just a list of "dos and don'ts" but rather a solid background why these rules are important.
